Inspiration for a cheap wedding idea can come from anywhere, observe wedding magazines, TV, talking with friends and family.

First off ensure you have written your financial allowance, knowing how much you have to pay out is a good way to concentrate on what are essentials to you on your wedding day.

Now forget the budget and think about your ideal wedding, what would the theme be? Where would you get wed? What would your dress and flowers look like? What mood do you want; relaxed, informal, traditional or unique?

When you’ve all your ideas together now observe the budget again, don’t panic or get depressed this is where you get clever and inspired for a cheap wedding idea.

Just since this is your wedding you don’t have to pay a premium for everything, some retailers will charge more as it is a wedding ceremony in preference to a celebration, that’s just annoying!

Cheap wedding reception ideas are to observe holding your reception during the week, most venues charge less for a Friday than on a Saturday or think about the season and steer clear of the marriage ceremony season of the summer months, definately try to avoid dates like Valentines day as the cost for everything will be high. Particularly the flowers!

Compare costs for the food at your venue, confusion set menus if you have never been someone to want what they are offering. Observe having a buffet for your wedding breakfast and to save money for the dessert you can use your bride and groom wedding cake.

Wine and Champagne is a costly cost, most venues say to budget half a bottle of wine per person but you know your invited guests and order accordingly. A good sparkling wine may be a fantastic option to Champagne. Also ask if the venue has a corkage charge, this signifies that you bring your individual wine and pay a cost per bottle. It may work out cheaper, in particular when you have managed a trip to France or know someone with a trade card for one of the big drinks stores.

Consider the venue, would it be potential to have a marquee in you or your parent’s garden? I went to one wedding where the mum of the bride lived next door to a farm and they managed to have the marquee in the farmer’s field.

Keeping your wedding simple and stylish will keep the charges down, prevent the temptation to invite everybody you or your mothers and fathers have ever met. Just ensure you will be able to have as much people that are essential to you on your wedding day.

Budget wedding planning

Cheap wedding packages virtually sound too good to be true, a fantastic price and everything you need for your wedding without too much tension, brilliant! Or is it?

When you are intending your wedding you will for sure feel overwhelmed with selection; colours, themes, guest lists, food, it is extensive and on. You could avoid most of this by selecting an all-inclusive wedding package. There are packages that include nearly everything, ( apart from the the happy couple – hopefully you have found your personal) and others that will be just a piece of the wedding ie the wedding breakfast or photography package.

What you must do is think what type of package will benefit you and then go out and find the best price for the best quality you is able to afford. Don’t waste your finances on the least expensive if your not pleased with the service or product. It may well be the least expensive but it is likely it will not be cheap.

You must compare packages and I find the best way to perform this is set up a table with all of your must haves on the left with columns for all of the different cheap wedding packages. Your must have list could include; flowers, photographer, videographer, venue for ceremony and reception, snacks, toast (the drinks kind), transport, honeymoon suite, wedding date cake, decorations, DJ.

After your list you need to add extra points; least numbers, maximum numbers, cost, any extra hire charges, time allocated at venue, exclusive use of venue, additional staff or equipment expenses, vat included.

The grounds for these extra points is to ensure you are comparing apples with apples, a low cost wedding package for 60 people is going to cost less than one for 100, plus you wouldn’t like to have any nasty surprises.

I recently helped one bride-to-be who hadn’t been told of the least numbers for the venue or that the amount quoted did not include vat, it was going to cost her an additional £2000 until we viewed her initial quote which did not show any of these extra expenses. The venue is now adhering to its original quote.

Which moves me nicely on to ensuring that you all get all of your quotes in writing. You want all expenses deteriorated so you realize what exactly you are expending money on and to make sure it includes everything you want, including linen, crockery etc.

To compare the quality of your cheap wedding packages ask to see all of the venues, a good time is when they have set up for a wedding as this will present you with an idea of the attention to detail. Ask for references when selecting an outside caterer and with all, try to get a tasting. This is when you try the menu before your wedding, a great free meal and an opportunity to see how good the food is and the way your chosen wines accompany the meal. Most venues will not provide a tasting until they have your booking confirmed, the tasting will be to compare a couple of different dishes or desserts before you make your final decision.

Finding cheap wedding packages is all about detail, check and double check all of the items quoted.
